“The Drop”. Chair with legs of browned metal. Seat and back upholstered with later patinated brown leather. Designed 1958. Manufactured by Fritz Hansen.
“The Drop” chair was designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, as part of the special decoration that Arne Jacobsen designed for this his most famous complete project. “The Drop” chair was uholstered with wool fabric for the hotel rooms, while a version with leather was made in 40 pieces for use in the Snack Bar.
