P. P. Rubens, after, 17th century?
The Martyrdom of St. Livinus. Unsigned. Oil on canvas. 113×89 cm.
According to the legend, Livinus lived c. 580–657 and was a Scottish / Irish saint. His was martyred by having his tongue pulled out and his head chopped off.
The original painting by Peter Paul Rubens from 1633 measures 455×347 cm and is now in the Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique, Brussels.
