Thorvald Jørgensen (b. Århus 1867, d. Charlottenlund 1946)

An oakwood suite of furniture. Manufactured in 1919 by Fritz Hansen A/S. Made for the Danish parliament, “Rigsdagen”. (7).

The Danish architect Thorvald Jørgensen (1867–1946) created Christiansborg Castle - the Danish parliament - between 1906–1928. His work included, apart from the building itself, pieces of furniture and interiors.

Condition

Signs of wear. Scratches. Fabric dirty.
