A free-standing three-seater sofa with cherry wood legs. Sides, back and loose cushions upholstered in red brown leather, colour code 84. Model 2213. Designet 1962. Manufactured and marked with label by Fredericia Furniture in 1996. L. 222 cm.

Børge Mogensen designed this sofa in 1962 for his home in Gentofte north of Copenhagen, where it still stands, placed between the two tables that dictated the measurements of the sofa. The simplicity and clean lines have since made the sofa one of the most recognised Mogensen pieces, still used widely today in government buildings, embassies, executive offices and private homes all over the world. Condition

Minor wear due to age and use. Minor marks and scratches, primarily shoe marks on legs. Wear on piping and on corners.
