An English naval officers sabre pattern 1827 by Widdowson & Veale around 1850 with a finely etched c. 78 cm. long blade with a quill point. The broken leather scabbard is marked WIDDOWSON & VEALE LATE SALTER GOLDSMITH & SWORDCUTLERS 73 STRAND LONDON. Widdowson tok over Salters business in 1835 and that's the reason for Salter being part of the company name. With the sabre South American Gaucho daggert with white metal grip and scabbard with a c. 25,5 cm. long nickel plated blade.

Condition

The sabre is in a broken scabbard and has a omewhat dark blade. The Gaucho daggert has a rust marked blade.
