Ernst Kühn (b. Copenhagen 1890, d. Gentofte 1948)

A pair of stained beech bar stools with tall shoes and ring of brass. Seat upholstered with patinated cognac coloured leather. Retailed by Lysberg, Hansen & Therp, one chair with retailer's plaque. (2)

Model designed for the bar at Bellevue Strandhotel when Ernst Kühn helped rebuild the hotel after 1930.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. Frame with marks and scratches. Seat with crackles in leather, some piercing the leather. Few defects in leather mainly by edgings.
