It has often been discussed whether Hans J. Wegner can be attributed as the designer of the inventory and furniture for Aarhus City Hall and Nyborg Library. In 1938 the 24 year old Wegner was engaged by Arne Jacobsen and Erik Moller to design the inventory and furniture for Aarhus City Hall. Since the project at Aarhus City Hall was not yet ready, Wegner was first assigned to draw all furnishing for Nyborg Library, which Flemming Lassen & Erik Moller was to build.
The fact is that Wegner has drawn all the lines, though his name does not appear in the drawings.
Normal wear due to age and use. Marks and scratches. Missing glass shade.
