Børge Mogensen designed this sofa in 1962 for his home in Gentofte north of Copenhagen, where it still stands, placed between the two tables that dictated the measurements of the sofa. The simplicity and clean lines have since made the sofa one of the most recognised Mogensen pieces, still used widely today in government buildings, embassies, executive offices and private homes all over the world. Wear due to age and use. Marks and scratches on legs. Cusions ar dry with patina and stains. One end and backside of the sofa is the leather cracked and parched.
