A free-standing three-seater sofa with mahogany legs, upholstered on sides, back and loose cushions with brown patinated buffalo leather. Model 2213. Designet 1962. Manufactured by Fredericia Furniture. L. 221 cm.

Bought by present owner in 1969.

Børge Mogensen designed this sofa in 1962 for his home in Gentofte north of Copenhagen, where it still stands, placed between the two tables that dictated the measurements of the sofa. The simplicity and clean lines have since made the sofa one of the most recognised Mogensen pieces, still used widely today in government buildings, embassies, executive offices and private homes all over the world. Condition

Wear due to age and use. Patinated Leather with marks, scratches and stains. One seat cushion with hole app. 5 mm.
