A German Louis XVI gilt bronze and marble mantle clock with white enamel dial. Signed Louis George á Berlin. Late 18th century. H. 43 cm. W. 28 cm. D. 11 cm.

Louis George, Royal clockmaker to Frederick the Great King of Prussia from 1769 to 1796.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. No guarantee of the function of the clock work. Pendulum and winding key is enclosed. One marble column is broken. The case is very dirty.
