Jens H. Quistgaard (b. Copenhagen 1919, d. 2008)

Unique beech armchair with round rods and horseshoe-shaped base and top rail, loose seat cushion and back with black artificial leather. Manufactured by Nissen, Langaa c. 1960. H. 71. W. 71. D. 53 cm.

Made in one copy as a prototype by Nissen, Langaa c. 1960.

At the bottom inscribed: No. 1 of 1 Design Jens H. Quistgaard, made c. 1960 by Gunnar Svenningsen, Furniture maker at RN. Restored by Richard Nissen 6/9 1991. Sold to Peter Petersen 7/9 1991.

Condition

Minor wear due to age and use. Minor marks and scratches. Glue residue on assembly in the front. Minor hole in the back piece of upholstery on the left side.
