Stereoscopic mahogany and brass camera with dark bellows, the camera marked JPA 285, original canvas and leather case with six dark slides and brass finder. Enclosed c. 270 stereoscope pictures taken by Managing Director Hans Henrik Schou, from various places a.o. England, Germany, Denmark and Norway 1901–1913.
“Nellerødmanden” 1844–1935 was a Danish cabinetmaker and mechanic who specialized in making cameras. Provenance: Owners grandfather Manufacturer and Managing Director of Atlas, Hans Henrik Schou 1858–1932 who bought the camera from the retailer and Royal Photographer Peter Elfelt.
