Bruun Rasmussen Russian
|
Online auctions and traditional salesroom auctions featuring art and antiques from Russia will be held in April and June. Our offices are already open for consignments.
Bruun Rasmussen’s Russian auctions in 2009 achieved several remarkable prices, e.g. for a signet by Henrik Wikström created for Fabergé, Martiros Sergeevich Saryan’s symbol-laden painting “Where once there was desert”, and a number of silverware items with enamel and a porcelain Easter egg. In response to the ever-growing demand for Russian art and antiques, Bruun Rasmussen will host two Russian auctions (1016 & 813) in the first half of 2010. Online auction 1016 will feature Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna’s Russian business card bowl from Moscow and the painting “The Infant Peter I saved by his mother from the attack of the Streltsy”, based on Charles Guillaume Steuben’s famous work, and not least porcelain and silverwork with enamel. The traditional salesroom auction 813 will feature a Russian drinking cup decorated with cloisonné enamel in pan-Slavic style in addition to a silver hand bell with enamel decoration, created by Michael Perkhin for Karl Fabergé. You are welcome to contact us for further information and complimentary auction estimate of your Russian art or antiques with the option of consigning them for auction. Consignment deadline for the online auction: 12 March. Consignment deadline for the traditional auction: 8 April. Sign up for our Russian auction newsletter here.
