Now it’s time to consider whether you are holding onto any stamps or coins that you’d like to part company with. There’s scarcely ever been a better time to sell! Auctions every second SundayBruun Rasmussen’s stamp and coin departments are launching a number of new initiatives for the upcoming autumn season to make stamp and coin dealing easier and more lucrative. From the very start of August, we are switching to two online stamp and coin auctions a month (every second Sunday of the year). The main benefit to sellers is that the time between delivery of their items and receiving payment is very short (approx. 2 weeks after the auction), and the benefit to collectors is that you can always place a bid at bruun-rasmussen.dk. In addition to our online auctions, we are also holding traditional stamp and coin auctions. The first stamp auction is to be held on Saturday 2 October 2010 at our auction house at Baltikavej 10, Copenhagen. The classic coin auction is to be held on Saturday 4 December 2010 in our auction house in Bredgade, Copenhagen. These auctions will mainly focus on specially selected collections, sets and individual items of particular note. Consignments to our auctionsEach stamp and coin auction attracts new bidders from around the world. As a result, hammer prices are constantly rising from one auction to the next. We are always looking for material for our online and traditional auctions. We are able to receive material on any weekday, Monday–Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm and Friday from 9 am to 3.30 pm at Baltikavej 10, Copenhagen. You can also bring stamps or coins to our Aarhus department at Søren Frichs Vej 34 D, Åbyhøj. In addition, we undertake valuation visits anywhere in Denmark, by agreement.
