Dominus – French perfection in USA

An amazingly well-made wine

We have collected all the vintages of Christian Moeuix’s fantastic wines from his Dominus Estate vineyards in Napa Valley in sun-drenched California.

‘I have always viewed Dominus as an under-estimated but amazingly well-made wine. Ever since tasting the 1983 vintage, I have always considered the wines from here as outsiders, but nevertheless as vintages that can hold their own with the truly great wines. Here you have concentration that avoids becoming extract, backbone and structure like that of Moueix wines from Pomerol, fruit and freshness, length and harmony. In other words, the ingredients needed for a wine to be able to develop into something big,’ says Henrik Christensen from Bruun Rasmussen’s wine department.

Henrik Christensen states that he has tasted the oldest of the wines over recent years and that none of them suffers from their relatively high age. The 1984 vintage is becoming mature now, but has many good years still ahead of it!

Wine-tasting and dinner at M.A.S.H. in Bredgade

We start at 5pm with a glass of champagne and continue by tasting a string of fine wines from Dominus. Five dishes will be served alongside the wines and the whole wine-tasting session takes place on our own premises.

The wine-tasting takes place on Friday, 17 September 2010 at 5pm at M.A.S.H., Bredgade 20, Copenhagen. The price for the whole session is DKK 2,750.

Registration and payment is necessary – not later than Friday, 10 September 2010. There are a limited number of seats, so registration is first come first served principle.
