European Capital of Culture 2017

Aarhus has been named "European Capital of Culture 2017", and at Bruun Rasmussen we are participating as a "Business Plus Partner".

As one of the most ambitious and prestigious cultural projects in recent times, the title of "European Capital of Culture" is given to two cities in Europe. This year Aarhus has been given the honour together with the city of Paphos on Cyprus. These cultural capitals will each present a yearlong programme with special exhibitions, performances and gatherings that involve local, national and international partnerships. The purpose is to create awareness of the diversity and wealth of European culture, as well as to promote a greater mutual understanding between European citizens.

A Cultural Laboratory

In Aarhus the cultural project is very much about involvement and the various planned events have so far involved more than 10,000 citizens, cultural figures, artists and entrepreneurs from the local region. More than anything, the year will be about rethinking issues and culture, and the slogan "Let's Rethink" signifies that the city in 2017 will transform the region around Aarhus into a cultural laboratory, where alternative solutions can be created and grown.

Bruun Rasmussen as a "Business Plus Partner"

At Bruun Rasmussen we are happy to participate as a "Business Plus Partner". Based on the overall theme ”Let's Rethink” we support the Aarhus 2017 Foundation in rethinking the current ideas regarding art and culture, and we look forward to contributing with a variety of initiatives during the year. Follow our planned activities on this website.
