Ferdinand Levillain (b. 1837, d. 1905)
A French patinated and partly gilt bronze tazza, centered by a relief panel entitled Aetas Aurea, rim cast with frieze and two scroll handles, raised on four paw supports. Centre inscribed F. Levillain, bowl underside incised F. Barbedienne. Paris, late 19th century. Diam. excl. handles 29 cm. H. 10.5 cm.
Wear due to age and use. Tarnished gilding.
